My most recent online art class challenged students to come up with something that represented the welcoming of spring and the waving of a metaphorical goodbye to winter.

I asked them to include some spring flowers alongside something that represented their winter. Pictured here is my demonstration painting, for which I chose to paint a pair of children’s wellies behind some daffs in an amaretto bottle, a very occasional tipple of amaretto being a sort of wintry tradition with my wife.
My demo painting was made in acrylics on unprepared A4 cardboard, and took a couple of hours or so to make. More on my online art classes.
