Nonstop Yellow Begonia #1

Drawing of yellow begonia

One of the most important reasons (to me at least) for my starting up this blog was to encourage myself to do more drawings. Unfortunately sometimes time just doesn’t allow it. Hence this is my first drawing for 10 days.

The sketch depicts a tiny begonia plant. It was one of several bought at the Grosvenor Garden Centre near Chester a week or two ago that hasn’t yet been planted and is spending some quality time in a jam jar. I drew it in pen on A5ish cartridge paper. Pen is possibly my favourite medium for drawing. When I started up the blog I envisaged it being chock-a-block with such black and white pen sketches, though I don’t seem to have done all that many so far.
