I was commissioned recently to make a painting of two classic cars, a Morgan and an Austin. Pictured in these rather blurred photographs is the result.

I’m afraid I know absolutely nothing about the motors; I generally refer to cars by colour and size e.g. “it’s a big green one”, so I can’t provide much (that is to say any) information on the cars beyond their manufacturer.
The painting was made in Winsor & Newton acrylics on Ampersand Gessobord and measures approximately 30 x 40 cm.
With two young ones, a combination of lockdown and home schooling have compounded the difficulties of finding time to paint at home in daylight hours, which I much prefer. So this painting was largely made during the evenings, fighting the exhaustion of the day. The background sounds of the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit movies kept me going!
